Hopefully, everything on this site’s bang up to date and 100% accurate. All the events have come from bands, promoters, landlords, public events on Facebook and websites. So if anything is missing or wrong please let us know.
If you are making a special trip for an event, please check with the venue that the event has not been changed or cancelled before setting off. In York though if a gig is cancelled there will probably be another great one just down the road.

We all bloody love Bull!
“The perfect meeting point of early-1990’s American slacker rock and classic British song-writing.”
“Their 90s tinged alternative rock music recalls all the best, and most emotive, skyscraping riffs sounds coming from the likes of Pavement, Dinosaur Jr. and The Pixies, as well as the likes of Smashing Pumpkins and Wolf Alice”

The Nosedivers – York’s newly reformed punk’n’roll heroes, back after 20 odd years in the wilderness, mix the primal punk roar of Motorhead, Ramones, and The Clash, with the rock and roll energy of early AC/DC, a heady dose of Supersuckers and Wildhearts hooks for good measure, and a ‘fuck you!’ attitude.
How long will this reunion last?
Only time will tell, but an EP is on the cards for early 2020.
“The best band to ever come out of York!” – Tim Hornsby, Fibbers (and other people who know where it’s at.)

“Immediate, scary and energising” – Louder Than War
“One of the UK’s most dynamic acts” – The 13th Floor

French Exits – French Exits – Missing Kids leftovers, French Exits, make brittle noisy pop music that sounds like it could fall apart at any minute and may well do.
This years charity is Kitchen for Everyone. York. who provide an amazing service, feeding the homeless and vulnerable in York, and we will also be collecting food and clothing on the night for those in need locally, as part of We Shall Overcome.
Please note there will be no Boss Caine performance this year, but I don’t think you’ll miss that considering what you do have to entertain you!
Oh it’s back baby! Back like baby back ribs. Except we eat pizza at these parties, not ribs. And we eat a lot of it!
After a successful experiMENTAL gig involving a load of bands and pizza from Dominos, Garagefeast has been re-born as PIZZAFEST.
Y’still get some of the very best outsider/lowbrow bands in the UK and all the meaty/veggie/vegan pizza you can shove in your hole(s)! The format hasn’t changed, just the name!
Playing live for your pleasure at this show we have:
KINGS OF HONG KONG – Non-stop chop chop! Rock n rolla! The masters of twang themselves! Birmingham’s finest garage rock outfit are coming to York for THE FIRST EVER TIME to obliterate your brains! Expect ridiculous amounts of reverb and an all-round mesmerising performance, from these seasoned Trashwax stalwarts.
THE BLACKJACKS = Well lookie here! York has a skiffle band! We are very excited to welcome The Blackjacks into The Fulford Arms, for their debut performance at the venue. These lads are heavily skilled live players, who have earned their stripes hammering out Quarrymen covers and the like, in the various dark pub holes of York. Now with a new set of originals under their belt, it’s time for The Blackjacks to enter a brand new world.
PERSPEX – A mega fast rising talent on the York scene! These guys have taken the city by storm. Now armed with Jack Patterson on lead guitar, they are set to blast into the stratosphere! Their music is a joyride of garage rock, post-punk and wonky pop, that you’ll absolutely love sinking your teeth into! True outsiders.
WAX PHANTOMS – Once again, the undead re-emerge from their slumber! 4 corpses that have been imbibed with strange musical powers! Dare you enter their crypt of terror? Dear you listen to their howling surf instrumentals? Will you survive your encounter with the Wax Phantoms???
THEE WINDOM EARLES – Disgusting garage horrorshow from the dirty backstreets of Northern Quarter in Manchester! Easily one of the best garage rock bands to come out of the UK underground in years. Deadly tunes, a fizzy live show and horror movie vibes pour out of this band like boiling blood from a mouldy old teapot!
SEGREGATES – The official Pizzafest band in residence! In their usual slot, to kick the second half of the day right up it’s jacksey. Brutal motorpunk rock and roll is the order of the day here! Lemmy lovers will not be disappointed in the musical behemoth that is Segregates! Cleopatra Records definitely know how to pick ’em.
!!!!PIZZA BREAK!!!! – A reet royal slap up feast of the finest pizza in the land. Meaty ones, veggie ones, vegan ones and Naomi’s signature vegan cheese sauce for those who don’t want any animal products on their food!
DANNY CLEAVER AND THE TRAPPED NERVES – Oh wow. Wow-a-wee-wah. DANNY FUCKING CLEAVER. THE KING IS BACK. An absolute legend of a human, who wowed audiences worldwide with his bands You Dead! and Cleavers, the mysterious man has been locked away drawing pictures of pizzas with human faces, but now is coming back to the stage, with an all-star cast that includes ELIOTT VERITY of Nosebleed fame! We’re thrilled that this will be one of their first ever gigs!
THE SPACEWASTERS – Look out! these crazy cockneys are ripping their way back up the M1 (or A1 if they feel fancy) to ignite The Fulford Arms once more with their take on rock and roll! They describe themselves as “Not Psychobilly Enough” – so much that they put it on a t-shirt. “Fitting in” is a phrase that The Spacewasters don’t understand. Outsider rock of the highest order.
BOMB VOYAGE – The new project from the brothers Donnelly! Mikey and Joey are always up to no good, and we’re delighted to have their new band feature on this lineup. We’ve not a single scrap of an idea what this is going to be, but we are very aware that it will most likely transcend the norms, be quite noisy and be something pretty special! There’s apparently some demos on the way, so we’ll post them in here as soon as they are available.
DEMOS COMING SOON
DUVET – Very new hot young bucks from York, looking to take the local scene and bend it to it’s will. Whizzed-out, tripped-out psychedelic wonder music, from the bottom of a very dirty and dusty pile of old records. It’s got a bit of trash, a bit of garage, but in essence this is music that is far out on the fringes and has overdosed on LSD. Music that will give you the ability to climb inside your own face and talk at great length to animals. Or something.
PANDA LASAGNE – Whitby’s punk rock genre blenders. What is it with bands from the coast mixing up genres to great effect? It’s sort of garage, it’s sort of punk, it’s sort of funk. This band doesn’t give a funk. Panda Lasagne are a four piece these days, having added a bendy sex whistle into their lineup, which gives them an unusual jazzcore edge. It’s a reet smash of genres and will kick things off in a lovely way.
3pm (sort of) first act – £10 tickets (link is in this event!)
